GUAVA - THE APPLE OF TROPICS

This super fruit with multiple medicinal properties has been used in Asian countries for centuries to treat diabetes. In a recent study, guava (peeled) juice produced a marked hypoglycaemic action in diabeticpatients; even the tender leaves of the guava tree had hypoglycaemic effects.

The study says that guava is packed with potassium, an important factor in regulating blood sugar. Rich in vitamin A, C and E; it even prevents heart attack. Regular consumption of decoction made from young guava leaves early in the morning prevents high blood sugar. Remember to peel the skin before eating the fruit.
